About The Position

The Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous service to members and guests. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to hospitality standards while efficiently managing food and beverage service in a fast-paced environment. Servers act as ambassadors of the club, ensuring each guest interaction reflects professionalism, warmth, and high service expectations. The Restaurant Server takes accurate orders, offers menu guidance, delivers food and beverages promptly, and maintains a clean and organized service area while complying with food safety and alcohol service policies. Success in this role depends on teamwork, reliability, and the ability to anticipate guest needs while maintaining composure and service excellence during peak periods.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Graduation or equivalent AND related Restaurant experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years restaurant service.
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations and industry
  • Possess an outgoing, friendly, professional personality
  • Highly energetic, self-starter, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast paced, event-driven environment
  • MAST 12 certification Required
  • Pierce County issued Food Handlers Permit, or ServSafe certified Required
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime per business needs
  • Ability to satisfy a criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Set up server station (including coffee station) and perform assigned side work.
  • Provide immediate attention to all members/guests upon seating.
  • Answer questions and suggest menu items.
  • Take member and guests orders.
  • Place orders to the kitchen via POS (Jonas) and inform cooks of any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Assemble food on trays when expediter is busy.
  • Serves meal; places dishes by course in front of each person with corresponding flatware.
  • Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
  • Removes soiled dishes.
  • Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks.
  • Keeps tables, dining room, and stations clean.
  • Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and working at a fast but thorough pace.
  • Help with Banquet set ups including, but not limited to, polishing silverware and glassware.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings.
  • Have comprehensive wine and liquor knowledge and adheres to all state liquor laws.
