About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Restaurant Server to provide friendly, responsive service and create an exceptional dining experience for guests. The role includes providing attentive, personalized service and ensuring food and beverage orders are accurate and delivered promptly. The server works collaboratively with the team to maintain a smooth, positive, and efficient dining environment, while upholding the Kalahari Promise and its service expectations. The position is scheduled to start as early as September. Pay is $2.13 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

General food and beverage knowledge.
At least one year of front-of-the-house operations experience is preferred.
Ability to operate a Micros terminal, phone system, POS system, and beverage dispenser.
State or local law may require completion of an alcohol awareness or safety class and a state-certified food-handling certification.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
Greet guests, share specials, give menu tours, recommend items, and communicate menu changes.
Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system for the kitchen and bar.
Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner using appropriate service trays.
Assist fellow servers, bussers, hosts/hostesses, and management as situations arise.
Participate as a team member and uphold Kalahari’s core values and service expectations.
