About The Position

The Sheraton Brookhollow, a 382-room hotel with 15,000 sq. ft. of meeting/event space, is seeking a Restaurant Server. This role is part of the Food & Beverage department and offers opportunities to lead full-service operations with strong corporate demand. The hotel features 4 on-site restaurants, an outdoor pool, club lounge, fitness center, and gift shop, and is located in a major Houston business district. This is an engaging environment for hospitality professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining environment.
• Knowledge of menu items, allergens, food preparation, and beverage options.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs.
• Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately.
• Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
