About The Position

As a Restaurant Server at Blue Harbor Resort, you’ll be a key contributor to our dining experience in both The Beacon Restaurant and On The Rocks Bar. Servers are the heart of our food & beverage team, responsible for providing warm, attentive service while guiding guests through their dining journey. This role blends customer service with menu knowledge and teamwork to help create memorable experiences from first course to last.

Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to identify and fulfill guests’ needs with a service‑focused mindset
Professional appearance and polished demeanor that welcomes guests
Ability to listen and communicate effectively with guests and team members
Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tables/requests
Basic math and cash‑handling proficiency
Weekend and holiday availability

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, professional attitude
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu and be prepared to explain offerings and make recommendations
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar
Assist guests with food and drink selections, including suggesting specials and pairings
Deliver orders promptly and check back with guests to ensure satisfaction
Perform opening and closing side‑work to support smooth daily operations
Maintain clean, organized tables by clearing finished courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling beverages
Process guest payments, issue bills, and return payment with a positive farewell
Work collaboratively with bartenders, baristas, and kitchen staff to support service flow
Be willing to cross‑train and assist in other outlets (bartender, barista) when needed
