About The Position

A Server is responsible for taking orders and serving of food/beverages to guests in a friendly, timely and efficient manner. Engage their customers and creates a positive experience for guests. Ensure that the highest standards of hospitality are demonstrated at all times. The Server professionally represents the restaurant & hotel through the creation of a value based workplace environment where team mates and guests are treated in a fair, respectful and honorable manner.

  • Brand and company required training as outlined during on boarding and as identified throughout your employment.
  • Enthusiastic, attentive and approachable.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Effective multi-tasker with the ability to continuously reprioritize daily activities.
  • Available to work flexible hours including late evenings, weekends, holidays and to work on-calls as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Familiar with all drink and food menus, advise guests on which menu items to purchase and make recommendations about pairing food with beverages.
  • Assist the bartenders in mixing drinks, preparing for simple orders such as draft or bottled beer.
  • Observe guests and ensure tables are enjoying their food and beverages.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a professional manner to ensure appropriate action is taken. Inform supervisors and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Answer the phone with the appropriate greeting and answer any questions within your ability.
  • Routinely clean, organize work areas, glassware, and silverware.
  • Keep all service areas and work stations stocked appropriately and to note items out of stock on weekly order sheet.
  • Collect payments from customers, process credit card transactions, and accurately manage cash transactions.
