About The Position

Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resorts and Spa is seeking a new team member to join our food and beverage outlets, including Tarpon House Restaurant, Charley's Cabana Bar, Cove Pool Bar, Princess Cruise, and Courtside Steakhouse Restaurant. We have breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts available. The ability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Requirements

Candidates must have a work permit and proper paperwork to be employed in the USA.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
Successful TIPs training and the ability to use the micros system are required.
Full mobility.
Standing for extended periods.
Moving in a fast-paced environment.
Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Pushing food carts up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior server experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greets, sells/takes orders, and serves guests in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.
Processes guest checks and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing, and accounting policies and procedures.
Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management.
Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards, and regulations to management.
Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags, and proper guest greetings.
Knowledgeable about hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate.
Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand, and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices, and regulations.
Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.
