Serve food and beverage to guests in a courteous and friendly manner in accordance with established brand/hotel guest service and sustainability standards. This role involves taking food and beverage orders, placing them in the point of service system, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Responsibilities also include setting and clearing tables in dining areas, stocking service stations with items such as ice, napkins, or straws, picking up orders from food preparation areas and ensuring food is prepared accordingly. The server will also prepare guest checks and complete payment transactions when appropriate. The position may require performing other food and beverage functions such as bartending and bussing in the event of staff shortages or peak periods. The server is expected to be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction, follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program, and practice safe work habits, including wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards. Other duties as requested by management may also be required.
