About The Position

The Restaurant Server provides exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a positive dining experience. The position is responsible for taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages efficiently, and addressing guest needs promptly and courteously. It requires a friendly demeanor and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success and reputation.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
  • Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience as a server in a restaurant setting is preferred but not always required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff promptly and accurately.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, following established service standards.
  • Monitor guest tables, anticipate needs, and provide proactive service, such as refilling drinks and offering additional items.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with grace and efficiency, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using the POS system, including handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, server stations, and dining areas.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members, including kitchen staff, bartenders, and bussers, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist with setting and clearing tables.
  • Stock service stations with necessary supplies.
  • Run food and beverage orders to tables as needed.
  • Assist with training new server staff.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
