About The Position

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to Bellows Air Force Station, Waimanalo, HI. Duties include monitoring the operations of a restaurant or assigned area, typically during the absence of the manager and assistant manager, often at night or on weekends. The role involves reviewing the schedule of functions, ensuring they are carried out as planned, and placing weekly orders for food and supplies using a government-issued P-Card. The assistant will also help balance daily financial intake, provide guidance to restaurant staff on shift functions, and ensure authorized personnel use the facility while adhering to restaurant rules and procedures. A report of significant occurrences during the shift will be prepared, and order will be maintained in the facility. Patron satisfaction will be ensured by resolving complaints and customer problems, and the incumbent will respond to emergencies. Adherence to security, safety, sanitation, cash handling, and property control procedures is required. The facility will be inspected and secured at the end of the shift. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have experience or training which demonstrates the ability to take responsibility for food and beverage operations in the absence of the managerial staff.
Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as; receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods.
Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other food and beverage employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations.
Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public.
Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).

Responsibilities
