About The Position

Flanigan’s is the largest and most popular restaurant chain in South Florida, established in 1959. We are expanding and seeking experienced restaurant managers who are eager to grow and succeed with us. Flanigan's is a well-respected South Florida institution known for excellence across Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Requirements

  • Current food management certification.
  • Possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality.
  • Flexibility for scheduling; Flanigan's is open 365 days a year.
  • Willingness to transfer to a different geographical location.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic math skills, including counting currency, making change, and using a calculator for basic operations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understanding and facilitation of proper health code standards.
  • Ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to stand, move at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at length.
  • Stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl.
  • Coordination necessary to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Adherence to Flanigan's policies for dress and grooming.

Nice To Haves

  • Adept at ordering and formulating pars.
  • Vacations are scheduled between April and November only and must be taken or forfeited.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate kitchen issues with management throughout the day.
  • Read and write notes in the manager's daily log in English.
  • Attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings.
  • Read the weekly memo.
  • Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations.
  • Communicate with the manager on duty (m.o.d.) upon shift completion.
  • Provide an accurate and honest report of all events, both positive and negative.
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and directions provided in manuals, memos, and meetings.
  • Attend quarterly supervisor meetings.
  • Conduct interviews in a timely fashion as per Flanigan's always hiring policy.
  • Issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performance.
