Requirements

  • Current food management certification.
  • Possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality.
  • Flexibility for scheduling (open 365 days per year).
  • Willingness to transfer to different geographical locations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic math skills, including counting currency, making change, and using a calculator.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to stand, move at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at length.
  • Stamina to work 50-55 hours per week.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl.
  • Adherence to Flanigan’s policies for dress and grooming.

Nice To Haves

  • Vacations are scheduled between April and November only and must be taken or forfeited.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate kitchen issues with management.
  • Maintain the manager's daily log, including notes in English.
  • Attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings.
  • Read the weekly memo.
  • Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations.
  • Communicate with the manager on duty (m.o.d.) upon completion of a shift.
  • Provide accurate and honest reports of all events, both positive and negative.
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and directions from manuals, memos, and meetings.
  • Attend quarterly supervisor meetings.
  • Order and formulate pars.
  • Facilitate proper health code standards.
  • Adhere to Flanigan’s always hiring policy and conduct interviews promptly.
  • Issue written evaluations for performance.
  • Operate kitchen equipment.
