About The Position

Flanigan’s is the largest and most popular restaurant chain in South Florida, and we are expanding. We are seeking experienced restaurant managers who are eager to grow and advance with us. Flanigan's has been a cherished South Florida establishment since 1959, and our name is widely recognized for excellence across Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Requirements

  • Current food management certification.
  • Possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality.
  • Flexibility for scheduling, as Flanigan’s is open 365 days per year.
  • Willingness to transfer to a different geographical location.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic math skills, including counting currency, making change, and using a calculator for basic arithmetic.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to stand, and the mobility to move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Stamina to work fifty to fifty-five hours per week.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl.
  • Co-ordination necessary to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Adherence to Flanigan’s policies for dress and grooming.

Nice To Haves

  • Managers may be asked to work up to 30 miles from the restaurant location you are currently applying to.
  • Vacations are scheduled between April and November only and must be taken or forfeited.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day.
  • Read and write notes in the manager's daily log in English.
  • Attend weekly manager's meetings and monthly staff meetings.
  • Read the weekly memo.
  • Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations.
  • Communicate with the manager on duty (m.o.d.) when a shift is completed.
  • Provide an accurate and honest report of all events, both positive and negative.
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and directions provided in manuals, memos, and meetings.
  • Attend quarterly supervisor meetings.
  • Order and formulate pars.
  • Facilitate proper health code standards.
  • Adhere to Flanigan’s always hiring policy and conduct interviews in a timely fashion.
  • Issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performance.
