About The Position

The New Leader in Training (NLT) Program is a 12-month, cohort-based leadership development track designed to take motivated hospitality professionals and prepare them for restaurant management. As we head into our busiest season, we're hiring a handful of Managers into this program who will immerse themselves in the operations of three NYC restaurants, rotating through hands-on assignments, mentorship, and structured coursework designed to build well-rounded, capable leaders. This is not a shadowing role. NLT Managers take on real responsibility from day one — running shifts, leading teams, and learning the financial and operational fundamentals that drive a successful restaurant.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of hospitality experience (supervisors, key hourly team members, assistant managers, or hospitality program graduates all encouraged to apply)
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and a track record of delivering great guest experiences
  • Demonstrated leadership potential — has stepped up, led informally, or taken initiative without being asked
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and the ability to stay composed during high-volume, high-pressure shifts
  • Curiosity and a genuine desire to learn the business from every angle
  • Flexibility and willingness to rotate across multiple NYC locations and work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to commit to the full 12-month program

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through operational assignments across 3 NYC restaurants, gaining exposure to front-of-house, back-of-house, and full-restaurant operations
  • Lead shifts and manage teams under the direct mentorship of General Managers and senior leadership
  • Learn core management functions including scheduling, labor and food cost management, guest recovery, and service standards
  • Participate in structured leadership training covering culture, people management, P&L fundamentals, and operational excellence
  • Complete hands-on special projects and quarterly development reviews to track growth
  • Build the operational fluency and leadership habits required to run a restaurant independently

Benefits

  • Placement into a permanent management role upon successful completion of the program
  • Direct mentorship and coaching from experienced General Managers and senior leadership
  • A structured, real-world path into restaurant leadership — not a theoretical training track
  • Competitive compensation and benefits 85,000 Base salary plus quarterly bonuses
  • Health Insurance Benefits plus paid time off.
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career with a respected, growing NYC restaurant group
