About The Position

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including staff supervision, guest experience, food and beverage quality, cost control, and compliance with health and safety regulations. This role ensures the location meets financial targets while maintaining brand standards and a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of restaurant supervisory or management experience
  • Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) required or obtainable within 30–60 days
  • Ability to stay calm and focused under high volume, peak hours
  • Alcohol service certification, where applicable
  • Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic office software
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Experience in working with outside vendors and maintaining strong relationships
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, culinary, business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly and professionally
  • Enforce food quality, presentation, and cleanliness standards
  • Ensure compliance with health department, food safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Recruit, hire, train, and schedule hourly staff and/or shift supervisors
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Build and maintain staff schedules that align labor costs with forecasted sales
  • Foster a positive, respectful team culture and reduce turnover
  • Manage food, beverage, and labor costs against budget
  • Conduct inventory counts and manage vendor ordering
  • Review daily/weekly sales reports and P&L statements
  • Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality
  • Maintain accurate records for payroll, scheduling, and compliance
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and repairs are scheduled
  • Support marketing/promotional initiatives at the store level
  • Open and/or close the restaurant, including cash handling and deposits
