About The Position

Responsible for the effective execution of service for the daily operations in Restaurants/Bars and Room Service & Coffee Bar. Always ensuring that the Standards of Excellence, as determined by Flik Associates and the client are met. Position assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards, assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods and supervises Restaurants/Bars, Room Service Departments, and Coffee Bar where applicable. Responsibilities include ensuring guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Accountable to ensure standards and legal obligations are followed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing cost controls is preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and develop all FOH restaurant staff in fine dining service standards.
  • Maintain schedules, payroll, requisitions and other administrative support to maintain food and beverage cost controls including inventory and pars.
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings daily.
  • Maintain communication with all departments to ensure customer service needs are met.
  • Create seating charts and station assignments daily, following up with support staff of daily expected business.
  • Maintain all reservation systems and book to accommodate business demands
  • Create side work assignments and ensure completion with wait staff
  • Maintain highest level of client/guest satisfaction
  • Maintains cleanliness and presentation of dining room area
  • Ensures the highest level of service to clients and their guests.
  • Investigates and resolves all client/guest complaints in a timely, professional, diplomatic manner.
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • All other reasonable requests as required
  • Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honest/integrity; leads by example.
