Emmy Squared Durham is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our growing team and help lead us to continued success! Requirements

  • At least 1 year of restaurant management experience in a full-service environment
  • Strong culinary background, with prior experience as Kitchen Supervisor, Kitchen Manager or equivalent
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with POS, scheduling, and reservation systems (Toast and/or Dolce a plus!)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask under pressure
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and creating great guest experiences
  • Physically able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, and reaching overhead

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring FOH and BOH teams follow company standards and deliver top-tier service.
  • Support back-of-house operations by reinforcing recipe adherence, food quality, prep standards, and kitchen efficiency to deliver a consistent guest experience.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to build a high-performing team.
  • Be present on the floor, interact with guests, and address service concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor food quality, cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health department regulations.
  • Help manage labor targets and adjust schedules based on business needs.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and team training sessions to maintain alignment and boost morale.
