About The Position

This role involves coordinating and directing restaurant activities during a shift based on guest traffic flow. The manager will monitor sales, employee hours, and guest counts to ensure proper staffing, and direct hourly employees to fulfill job duties and priorities. Coaching employees on guest service skills and interacting with guests are key aspects of the position. Additionally, the role includes monitoring employee break procedures, completing shift walk-throughs, establishing security protocols, providing training, managing financial obligations and reporting, and recognizing employee contributions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• One or more years of experience as an hourly restaurant shift leader/coordinator.
• Excellent organizational and communications skills, both verbally and written.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and take initiative when appropriate.
• Motivated self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs restaurant activities during the shift based on guest traffic flow.
• Monitors sales, employee hours, and guest counts throughout the shift to ensure proper staffing.
• Directs hourly employees to fulfill job duties and priorities.
• Coach employees on guest service skills, service cycle, and other guest focused activities to meet or exceed guest service standards.
• Interacts with guests inquiring about food and service.
• Monitors employee break procedures to be sure breaks are taken as scheduled according to federal, state or local regulations.
• Completes shift walk-throughs, including temperature checklist and takes corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain appropriate security protocols for guest, employees and facility safety.
• Provide regular training and quality performance results to managers and employees.
• Timely completion of all financial obligations and reporting, including payroll, payables and receivables, etc.
• Recognize and celebrate the contributions and achievements of others.
