About The Position

The Granite Grill in Richmond, Virginia, is hiring part-time hosts to join the opening service team of this highly anticipated, new full-service restaurant! We are looking for energetic, friendly, and attentive team players who love to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Hosts are immersed in a training program to become knowledgeable about our steps of service, food and beverage menus, and company values. The opening of the restaurant is targeted for late October. Requirements

Strong communication and people skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends and at least 3 shifts per week
Must be 17 years of age
Proficient in English
Able to stand and move about the restaurant for the duration of the shift

Nice To Haves

Previous hosting experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person

Responsibilities

Creating a great first impression when greeting guests with warmth and professionalism
Managing the reservation system accurately and efficiently
Promptly seating guests
Providing customer service when managing the phone lines
Supporting the other server staff to clear tables and run dishes
Anticipating guest needs and responding quickly to requests
Working as part of a team to prepare the restaurant for service and keep the shift moving smoothly
