About The Position

Join Our Team at FIRE Restaurant located in The ART hotel Downtown Denver. We are currently looking for a PT Restaurant Host. Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays. Hourly Range: 19.29-20.29. About Us: Find us in the arts district, with the State Capitol and a half-dozen museums within 10 minutes' walk. We bring Denver's spirit indoors with curated artwork throughout the hotel, and mountain and city views at every turn. See downtown from a new vantage at our rooftop bar and restaurant. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English and interact well with guests and staff.
  • Self-starting personality with an even temperament, always maintaining a professional appearance and manner.
  • Willingness to pitch in and assist co-workers, promoting a team-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to apply basic supervisory skills, including planning, organizing, directing, coaching, training, and disciplining employees when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and greet guests as they arrive.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel valued.
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
  • Manage special requests, such as seating preferences or accessibility needs.
  • Manage reservations using the restaurant’s booking system.
  • Coordinate table assignments to maximize seating capacity and efficiency.
  • Communicate wait times accurately and manage the waitlist.
  • Maintain a smooth flow of guests entering and leaving the dining area.
  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Inform guests of daily specials, promotions, or special events.
  • Answer phone calls regarding reservations, restaurant details, and inquiries.
  • Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and organized.
  • Ensure menus, promotional materials, and reservation books are up to date.
  • Assist in setting up the dining area when needed.
  • Work closely with restaurant managers, servers, and bartenders.
  • Assist with light bussing or resetting tables if necessary.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed.
