About The Position
We are looking for a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Restaurant Host/Hostess. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. We offer consistent flexible hours, with overtime available, and a non-corporate, family-type environment. There are opportunities for advancement to Shift Supervisor and Management roles. We pride ourselves on not having late nights, as we are not open into the early morning hours.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- Ability to bend, twist and stand to perform normal job functions
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner
- Engage in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
- Advise guests of current specials, new menu items and promotions
- Manage restaurant waiting list during high volume times to accurately set guest expectations
- Always sincerely thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Assist other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate
- Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
