Restaurant General Manager
About The Position
The Restaurant General Manager oversees all aspects of the restaurant, including operations, finances, people, culture, and events. The role represents Indigo Road Hospitality Group and embraces its commitment to internal hospitality, creating memorable food-centered experiences for team members and guests. The General Manager leads restaurant and hospitality operations, develops staff, maintains effective communication, resolves challenges, and works to meet profit-and-loss goals. The role also engages local vendors, businesses, farms, and the broader community to source quality products and support volunteer and charitable initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of successfully managing a high-volume, upscale, food-focused restaurant (described as 200–300 covers).
- Proven experience delivering top-notch dining experiences.
- Compassion for people and willingness to embrace Indigo Road core values.
- Strong problem-resolution skills and the ability to proactively set the team up for success.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to navigate important conversations.
Responsibilities
- Lead restaurant, food and beverage, and hospitality operations with passion.
- Foster staff development and a positive team atmosphere while working to meet P&L goals.
- Engage local vendors, businesses, and farms to source quality products.
- Educate junior team members and advocate for their development.
- Participate in and support community volunteer efforts and charitable initiatives.
- Oversee restaurant operations, finances, people, culture, and events.
- Resolve challenges through effective communication with team members and the community.
- Deliver memorable dining experiences for guests and team members.
