About The Position

The Restaurant General Manager – ‘ULU is a pivotal leadership role overseeing one of the Resort’s most celebrated dining experiences. Located along the ocean’s edge, ‘ULU offers an elevated yet approachable atmosphere, showcasing Hawai‘i Island’s rich agricultural and seafood resources through a menu rooted in sustainability and Hawai‘i Regional Cuisine. With a strong focus on locally sourced ingredients—many harvested from the Resort’s own gardens and surrounding waters—‘ULU delivers a dining experience that is both deeply connected to place and refined in execution. This role is ideal for a dynamic, highly visible leader who thrives in a high-volume, luxury environment. The General Manager serves as the face of the restaurant—driving operational excellence, cultivating a strong team culture, and ensuring every guest experience reflects the intuitive, personalized service that defines Four Seasons.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in a luxury, high-volume restaurant or resort environment
  • A passion for delivering exceptional, personalized guest experiences
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, inspire, and develop diverse teams
  • Deep knowledge of food, wine, and beverage, with an appreciation for local sourcing and sustainability
  • Strong business acumen across labor management, financial performance, and operational strategy
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A hands-on, adaptable approach in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Ability to obtain a Hawaii State Department of Health Tuberculosis (TB) clearance card

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of managers and line employees
  • Maintain a consistent and visible presence on the floor, creating meaningful guest connections and recognizing team contributions
  • Deliver a seamless, elevated dining experience aligned with Forbes Five-Star standards and Four Seasons service culture
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring precision, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage leadership to evolve menus, wine programs, and guest experiences that reflect seasonality, sustainability, and innovation
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Manage financial performance, including labor strategy, cost controls, inventory, and revenue optimization
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism, care, and a solutions-driven mindset
  • Ensure the physical environment reflects the quality and standards of the Four Seasons brand
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support overall Resort operations and guest satisfaction
