Restaurant Dishwasher
About The Position
The Restaurant Dishwasher supports the restaurant’s food and beverage service by maintaining clean, organized dish, trash, and floor areas in accordance with Neiman Marcus health, kitchen, and sanitation standards. The role involves operating and maintaining the dish machine, preparing and using cleaning and sanitizing materials, washing kitchenware and tableware, removing trash, and helping with kitchen preparation and additional cleaning as needed. The dishwasher works with restaurant and kitchen staff and may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Responsibilities
- Keep dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized to high health and kitchen standards.
- Check dish-machine chemicals, operate the machine, keep chemical testers available, and report malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef.
- Use sanitizing and cleaning materials appropriately.
- Check trash periodically and remove it when full.
- Organize the dish area and solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silverware.
- Maintain a steady pace washing pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware, taking care with breakable items.
- Keep floors clear of spills, grease, and general trash.
- Assist with kitchen preparation and additional cleaning as needed.
- Maintain professional working relationships with line cooks, coworkers, the chef, and front-of-house staff.
- Follow health and sanitation standards set by Neiman Marcus, the local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors.
