About The Position

S&L Hospitality along with Spencer's Tavern, located inside of The Colonial Inn, are currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Dishwasher. Ideal candidates will have an interest for working in a culinary atmosphere, have prior cleaning or dishwashing experience, are a self-starter, can work with little supervisor, and are willing to utilize in a prep work role. This position is primarily scheduled for evenings between 4pm and 10:30pm and will need to be available for brunch shifts as well as other events that require this role to be available. This position is subject to successful completion of a background check as it relates to the responsibilities of the role. Requirements

Ability to work with little supervision and focused in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for long period of time and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to push/pull/bend/lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently.
Must be at least 18 years of age, or minimum age to work in a kitchen environment in accordance with state/local laws.
Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
Detail-orientated individual who is able to focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Ability to maintain a composed, approachable and professional attitude.
Prior cleaning or dishwashing experience.
Self-starter.
Willing to utilize in a prep work role.

Responsibilities

Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
