About The Position

The Restaurant Dishwasher maintains overall restaurant cleanliness so guests receive food and beverage service that meets Neiman Marcus standards. The role focuses on keeping dishwashing, trash, and floor areas clean and organized, maintaining the dish machine and cleaning supplies, washing kitchenware, and supporting food preparation and additional kitchen cleaning as needed. The dishwasher works collaboratively with restaurant and kitchen staff and follows health and sanitation standards set by Neiman Marcus, local health authorities, and third-party sanitation auditors.

Responsibilities

• Keep dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized according to health and kitchen standards.
• Check dish machine chemicals, ensure they are filled and ready, use the machine properly, keep chemical testers available, and report malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef.
• Use sanitizing materials and cleaning solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silverware.
• Check trash periodically and remove it when full.
• Maintain an appropriate pace washing pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware.
• Use caution when handling breakable dishes and glassware.
• Keep floors free of spills, grease, and general trash.
• Assist with food preparation and additional kitchen cleaning as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with line cooks, coworkers, the chef, and front-of-the-house staff.
• Follow health and sanitation standards set by Neiman Marcus, local health departments, and third-party sanitation auditors.
