The Restaurant Dishwasher is responsible for transporting, cleaning, and maintaining all cooking utensils, pots, pans, and service ware. This role ensures the dishwashing area is kept clean and organized to provide cooks, bussers, and food servers with the necessary equipment for guest dining. The position also involves maintaining and organizing all Food and Beverage operational facilities, including service equipment, coolers, freezers, dry pantry food storage areas, and storage facilities. Adherence to safety standards for food handling and proper rotation of food products is crucial. The role requires following protocols for chemical application in food handling areas and maintaining testing supplies for sanitary conditions. Additionally, the dishwasher will accept and inventory food and beverage deliveries, dispose of garbage, and clean trash receptacles. Promptly sorting and washing soiled service ware, operating the dishwashing machine, and cleaning kitchen equipment are key duties. General cleaning tasks, including unexpected spills and floor cleaning, are also part of the responsibilities. The position may involve food product preparation and reporting any safety hazards or suspicious activity to management. Regular attendance and flexibility in scheduling, including nights, graveyards, holidays, and weekends, are required due to the nature of the hospitality/casino industry.
