About The Position

Austin Country Club is seeking a full-time Restaurant / Country Club Host to join their hospitality team. This role involves providing first-class customer service to members, ensuring they feel welcomed and at home. The position requires seating members, managing waitlists, explaining menu items, and supporting the overall dining experience. The club is a tradition-rich, private country club located west of downtown Austin, known for its quality membership and exceptional service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Deep knowledge about wine, liquor, beer, and food service
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
Excellent customer service skills
Phone etiquette
Basic computer knowledge

Experience hosting or working for a club is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure each member feels welcomed and at home by delivering friendly, first-class customer service.
Engage with members at the host stand with a warm smile and offer assistance.
Seat members in the restaurant as they arrive and process waitlist requests.
Explain ingredient offerings, methods of preparation, and menu listings to members.
Respond to member questions regarding food and beverage.
Support other team members and managers with premium guest services.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of the dining area.
Ensure the overall club environment is presentable.
Monitor hospitality areas, including food and beverage storage, for cleanliness and compliance with safety guidelines.
Communicate arising issues to management promptly.
Participate in all scheduled meetings and training.
