About The Position

The Niemann Harvest Market Farmhouse Cook provides excellent customer service while preparing recipes, building product knowledge, and working safely in support of the Niemann Harvest Market culture. The role prepares customer orders promptly, monitors food quality and taste, maintains a clean and sanitized work area, and follows food-safety, health-code, store, and department policies. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements may vary by store location, and Niemann Foods Management may add to or change position requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively to customer or associate groups.
• Basic math skills, including arithmetic and working with weights and measures.
• Cooking experience and food-safety knowledge.
• Ability to multitask and maintain a high energy level.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handlers Certificate; the certificate is provided at store level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Follow recipes and learn about product seasonality.
• Monitor food quality and taste.
• Prepare and execute customer orders in a timely manner.
• Follow the production list.
• Keep the work area clean and sanitized.
• Maintain the work area and cooler to approved food-safety standards.
• Follow health-code guidelines and store and department policies and procedures.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and serve as a safety role model.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
