The Bartender at Blade & Barrel Restaurant & Bar is responsible for delivering elevated beverage service in a refined yet welcoming dining atmosphere. This role combines craft, hospitality, and storytelling—preparing exceptional cocktails, wine, and beverages while creating memorable guest interactions that enhance the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, knowledgeable in beverage service, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment focused on quality and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience required; restaurant or upscale dining experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cocktail preparation, wine service, and beverage presentation.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service per state law.
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong communication, guest engagement, and sales skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, standards, and guest preferences.
  • Provide attentive, engaging, and personalized service to bar and dining guests.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer offerings; make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar, equipment, and service areas.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen team to ensure seamless service flow.
  • Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with ordering as directed.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including card handling and bar setup/breakdown.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold Dellshire Resort service standards at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and support restaurant operations during peak periods.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor to include cross-training.
