About The Position

Responsible for the beverage service to guests and Beverage/Food Servers in an assigned service station and/or bar ensuring efficient and prompt service for restaurant guests. This role involves mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, maintaining a clean and organized bar station, and adhering to all gaming and beverage regulations. The bartender will also handle guest payments, monitor alcohol consumption, and ensure all transactions are accurately entered into the POS system. Additionally, the position requires assisting with health, safety, and sanitation standards, completing assigned side work, and following C.A.R.E. guidelines for responsible guest consumption. The role also aims to create a fun atmosphere for casino guests and promote mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an active employee permit issued by the State of Indiana’s Alcohol and Tobacco Commission.
  • Must complete an ATC approved server training program.
  • Requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of two to three years related experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Mixes and serves alcoholic beverage and/or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
  • Mixes and serves beverages in a service station capacity to Beverage/Food Servers in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Receives, issues and keeps necessary records of liquor store and supplies.
  • Maintains a neat and clean bar station on a continual basis.
  • Has knowledge of all Gaming and beverage regulations.
  • Monitors guest alcohol consumption and responds accordingly.
  • Keeps sight lines neat and organized.
  • Ensures no drinks are served unless entered into POS system.
  • Receives payment from food and beverage guests/servers in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Adheres to established cash control policies and procedures.
  • Requests identification from guests when legal age is in question.
  • Answers any guest questions and directs concerns to appropriate management.
  • Assists in maintaining standards of health, safety, and sanitation.
  • Completes side work, set up or closing duties as assigned.
  • Follows all C.A.R.E. guidelines to help assist with guests’ responsible consumption.
  • Creates an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests.
  • Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all employees, by setting positive examples at all times.
