About The Position

At Magnolia, the Restaurant Barista is responsible for creating quality beverages and maintaining a clean and comfortable restaurant environment. This position ensures the highest level of customer care to guests by providing exceptional service and assistance. This position works from Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Assistant Front of House Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor while working with a sense of urgency
Food Handler's license and TABC certification required upon hire
Must be available to work weekends, nights, special events, and holidays as business needs require

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
0-1 years of related work experience preferred
Proficiency in operating coffee machines and other equipment preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure the highest level of guest care, in line with Magnolia’s brand
Greet guests with enthusiasm
Create a variety of high-quality beverages and coffees per Magnolia’s standards and recipes
Answer questions regarding coffee, cocktails, beer, wine and menu items to guests
Maintain stock, cut, and store of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality, and maintain highest quality
Ensure that the beverage bar is fully stocked and all opening and closing duties are completed
Prepare and sell menu items by following prescribed recipes and techniques
Polish drinkware to ensure cleanliness for service and clean beverage equipment
Assist with running drinks and food when needed
Respond to guest needs when possible and/or communicate to a manager if necessary
Assist with bussing and resetting tables when needed
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
Contribute to a safe and clean working environment
Ensure responsible alcohol service per TABC training and notify management of any issues
Perform other duties as assigned
