This role is for a Restaurant Assistant Manager in a 100% scratch kitchen environment. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring flawless execution of every detail, every shift, by every team member, to exceed guest expectations. They provide direction, coaching, training, and development for team members, focusing on food quality, service standards, safety, sanitation, and company policies. The position involves partnering with the General Manager (GM) to ensure the financial performance of the restaurant, consistent execution of systems, standards, inventory, and cost controls. The Assistant Manager also plays a key role in creating and implementing plans for financial improvement, executing new company initiatives, utilizing the catering team to build sales and community involvement, and ensuring optimal team member and manager scheduling to support restaurant performance. This includes interviewing and selecting team members to maintain appropriate staffing levels and verifying that all daily administration is carried out according to policy and standards. The role requires proactive organization and planning, effective communication with guests, team members, management, vendors, and prompt response to guest feedback for positive recovery. The Assistant Manager ensures the cleanliness and sufficient supply levels of facilities, follows safety procedures, and provides a safe, professional, and harassment-free working environment. The ability to handle multiple priorities, work under stress, and exercise good judgment is essential.
