About The Position

Sterling Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in running a great Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurant. The role focuses on developing people, taking ownership of results, delivering welcoming service, and building leadership skills. The Assistant General Manager supports team staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews; leads restaurant shifts; maintains a safe, clean, and organized environment; upholds quality, service, and cleanliness standards; manages sales, labor, food costs, and profitability; and supports catering, local marketing, and community relationships. Sterling Restaurants was founded in 2009, owns the original Moe’s in Atlanta, and operates nearly 90 restaurants across seven states. The company emphasizes developing people and running great restaurants, guided by values of ownership, helping others grow, integrity, fairness, respect, positivity, and solution-focused leadership.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience.
Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 15–25.
Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to hospitality, food safety, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities

Support staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews.
Give Shift Leaders and Team Members clear direction and ongoing feedback.
Coordinate people and priorities during shifts, lead alongside the crew, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant.
Uphold quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
Resolve guest concerns with care and encourage guests to return.
Manage sales, labor, food costs, and profitability.
Support catering, local marketing, and community relationships.
