About The Position

Sterling Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager for a Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurant. The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to operate the restaurant, develop team members, and take ownership of business results while providing a welcoming guest experience. The role involves supporting staffing and team development, leading shifts, maintaining restaurant standards, managing financial performance, and supporting business growth through catering, local marketing, and community relationships.

Sterling Restaurants was founded in 2009, owns the original Moe’s in Atlanta, and operates nearly 90 restaurants across seven states. The company emphasizes developing people and running great restaurants.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 15–25.
• Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to hospitality, food safety, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews.
• Give Shift Leaders and Team Members clear direction and ongoing feedback.
• Coordinate people and priorities during shifts, lead alongside the crew, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant.
• Uphold quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Resolve guest concerns with care and encourage guests to return.
• Manage sales, labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Support catering, local marketing, and community relationships.
