About The Position

Sterling Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager for a Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurant. The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to operate a successful restaurant, develop team members, take ownership of results, and provide welcoming guest experiences. The role includes building leadership skills while supporting restaurant operations, team development, service standards, and business performance.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 15–25.
• Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to hospitality, food safety, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews.
• Give Shift Leaders and Team Members clear direction and ongoing feedback.
• Coordinate people and priorities to lead effective shifts.
• Work alongside the crew and maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant.
• Uphold quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Resolve guest concerns with care and encourage guests to return.
• Manage sales, labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Support catering, local marketing, and community relationships.
