About The Position

Sterling Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager for Moe’s Southwest Grill. The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to operate a successful restaurant, develop team members, and deliver welcoming guest experiences while building leadership skills. The role includes supporting staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews; directing and coaching Shift Leaders and Team Members; coordinating restaurant shifts; upholding quality, service, cleanliness, and food-safety standards; resolving guest concerns; managing sales, labor, food costs, and profitability; and supporting catering, local marketing, and community relationships.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience.
Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 15–25.
Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to hospitality, food safety, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities

Support staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews.
Give Shift Leaders and Team Members clear direction and ongoing feedback.
Coordinate people and priorities during shifts, lead alongside the crew, and maintain a safe, clean, organized restaurant.
Uphold quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
Resolve guest concerns with care and encourage guests to return.
Manage sales, labor, food costs, and profitability.
Support catering, local marketing, and community relationships.
