About The Position

Sterling Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager for a Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurant. The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to operate the restaurant, develop team members, deliver welcoming service, and achieve business results while building their own leadership skills. The role includes supporting staffing and training, leading restaurant shifts, maintaining safety and cleanliness, managing sales, labor, food costs, and profitability, and supporting catering, local marketing, and community relationships. The position is guided by Sterling Restaurants’ values: taking ownership, elevating others, doing the right thing, and maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience.
Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 15–25.
Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to hospitality, food safety, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities

Support staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews.
Give Shift Leaders and Team Members clear direction and ongoing feedback.
Coordinate people and priorities during shifts, lead alongside the crew, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant.
Uphold quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
Resolve guest concerns with care and encourage guests to return.
Manage sales, labor, food costs, and profitability.
Support catering, local marketing, and community relationships.
