About The Position

Sterling Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager for a Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurant. The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to operate a great restaurant, develop team members, take ownership of results, and provide welcoming guest experiences while building their own leadership skills.

The role includes supporting staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews; giving Shift Leaders and Team Members direction and feedback; coordinating restaurant shifts; maintaining a safe, clean, and organized restaurant; upholding quality, service, and cleanliness standards; addressing guest concerns; managing sales, labor, food costs, and profitability; and supporting catering, local marketing, and community relationships. The position calls for a commitment to hospitality and food safety, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lead and supervise a team of 15–25.

The base salary starts at approximately $50,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience, with an attainable monthly bonus. Sterling Restaurants offers benefits and career advancement opportunities, including the potential for Operating Partners to earn $100,000 or more.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 15–25.
• Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to hospitality, food safety, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews.
• Give Shift Leaders and Team Members clear direction and ongoing feedback.
• Coordinate people and priorities during shifts, lead alongside the crew, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant.
• Uphold quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Resolve guest concerns with care and encourage repeat visits.
