About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant General Manager for its restaurants. In this role, you will assist the Restaurant General Manager in leading daily operations, developing and inspiring associates, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment. You will embody the company's Promise to Lead with Love by being present in the operation during its busiest hours, actively supporting teams during peak service, and helping to create a memorable dining atmosphere through delicious food, warm hospitality, and timeless charm. The company operates several restaurant concepts including Double Cut Steak House, B-LUX Grill & Bar, Sortino's Italian Kitchen, and Cinco Niños. These positions are scheduled to begin onboarding from mid-September to October.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of restaurant or hospitality leadership experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale, steakhouse, supper club, or hospitality-driven environment.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, guest service standards, scheduling, inventory management, labor controls, and food safety practices.
  • Experience handling guest relations, resolving issues professionally, and maintaining a high standard of hospitality.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, food quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and support front-of-house and back-of-house teams by training associates, managing performance, and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Monitor labor, inventory, scheduling, and cost controls to support financial goals and maintain operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and opening/closing procedures.
