About The Position

Sterling Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager for a Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurant. In partnership with the General Manager, this role helps operate the restaurant, develop team members, deliver welcoming guest service, and achieve business results while building leadership skills. Sterling Restaurants owns and operates nearly 90 Moe’s restaurants across seven states.

The Assistant General Manager supports staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews; provides direction and feedback to Shift Leaders and Team Members; coordinates restaurant shifts; maintains a safe, clean, and organized environment; upholds quality, service, and cleanliness standards; addresses guest concerns; manages sales, labor, food costs, and profitability; and supports catering, local marketing, and community relationships.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team of 15–25.
• Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to hospitality, food safety, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing, interviewing, training, and performance reviews.
• Give Shift Leaders and Team Members clear direction and ongoing feedback.
• Coordinate people and priorities during shifts and lead alongside the crew.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant.
• Uphold quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Resolve guest concerns with care and encourage guests to return.
• Manage sales, labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Support catering, local marketing, and community relationships.
