About The Position

Requirements

  • Must have the required education and experience to meet ASNT Level III standard in at least two NDE methods, preferably including MT, PT, or VT.
  • Must have the ability to certify qualifications and complete any required additional education and testing for other needed NDE processes within a reasonable time period from the employment start date.
  • Must have verifiable work experience and documentation of hours for Level II/III NDE certifications that meet ASNT requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain all NDE related system operating procedures, work instructions, and program documents, ensuring adherence to the latest industry and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and approve written practice for the control and administration of NDE personnel training, examination, and certification (reference SNT-TC-1A and NAS410).
  • Train, develop, and monitor the technical proficiency of NDE personnel, including auditing and testing to ensure compliance with internal, industry, and customer requirements.
  • Develop, qualify, approve, and designate NDE procedures and techniques.
  • Participate in customer and certification audits.
  • Manage internal operations requests for support in a timely manner.
  • Interface with engineering to review job requirements and plan NDE operations.
  • Provide NDE technical expertise to internal and external customers.
  • Conduct planning of jobs.
  • Attend meetings to support operations, including production control planning and pre-release meetings.
  • Assist with problem-solving shop floor operational issues related to NDE.
  • Ensure support operational needs, including overtime required.
  • Evaluate the skill level and performance of personnel per company process and policy.
  • Investigate any anomalies (Non-Conformances, job overruns, accidents, incidents) and define and implement appropriate corrective actions.
