About The Position
This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. We are seeking a patient and dependable Respite Provider to support a fun and energetic 4-year-old boy with autism. This position provides valuable support to both the child and his family while creating opportunities for engagement, learning, and recreation.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children, preferably children with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Comfortable supporting an active child with high energy levels
- Strong awareness of safety and ability to respond appropriately to elopement risks
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to follow family routines and guidance

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive supervision at home and in the community
- Engage the child in age-appropriate recreational and sensory activities
- Support participation in activities
- Monitor and prevent elopement behaviors while ensuring the child's safety at all times
- Build a positive, trusting relationship through patience, consistency, and encouragement
- Communicate effectively with the family regarding activities and observations
