About The Position

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Respite Provider to work with a young girl in the Oconomowoc, WI area. The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and committed to helping the child thrive through consistent routines and gentle guidance.

Requirements

• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Previous experience working with individuals with behavioral support needs.

Responsibilities

• Respite care is to be conducted in child’s home and out in the community. Community outings are encouraged.
• Provide 1v1 care and supervision during all indoor and outdoor activities.
• Assist with transportation; including picking up from school and transitioning home -or to a community activity.
• Support participation in age-appropriate activities such as YMCA, the library, dance class, and other preferred activities.
• Help build and practice social, communication, and play skills.
• Be comfortable managing and redirecting occasional heightened behaviors while maintaining a supportive approach.
