AdaptAbilities provides meaningful programs for children and youth with disabilities and has been named a 2025 Canadian Nonprofit Employer of Choice Award recipient. This part-time position is at the St. Albert Respite Centre for the Out of School care and High School Transition program. The Out of School Care program supports children aged 12-17 who need extra support after school. The High School Transition program assists individuals aged 18-20 who are continuing their high school education, offering a safe space to explore independence through experiential learning. The program operates Monday through Friday, from September 14, 2026, to April 23, 2027, with program hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on non-school days. The Community Specialist In Training (CS-IT) will report to the assigned Program Supervisor and will gain work experience and mentorship to develop a career in the human services field. This role supports front-line employees in creating a safe, caring, and community-enriched life for individuals and families. The CS-IT is expected to act with integrity, be open to growth, live the company's purpose, cultivate teamwork, and exert extraordinary effort to empower people with diverse abilities and their families.
