About The Position

Directs the Cardiopulmonary department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and the Memorial Healthcare System. This role involves preparing, monitoring, and evaluating departmental budgets, coordinating and directing audits, and planning and monitoring staffing activities. The manager also directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Additionally, they develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • 5 years experience required.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • AHCA Background Screening (AHCA) - State of Florida (FL)
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Nice To Haves

  • RT trach vent experience
  • long term care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
