About The Position

Landmark Hospital of Columbia is expanding its team of talented Respiratory Therapists (RT) and is seeking individuals who are ready for a change, enjoy challenging cases, and want to make a difference in their community. The RT team functions as a vital and valued member of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team in a positive work environment. This role involves complex cases in a critical care environment, offering support and the opportunity to make a significant impact. Employment opportunities are available for PRN or Full-time, with Day, Night, and Weekend shifts available. Scheduling is online and flexible.

Requirements

Valid RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) License
Minimum 1 year of acute hospital experience, critical care preferred
BLS and ACLS certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
Team, detail, and goal-oriented
Positive, professional, and empathetic demeanor
Ability to work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

Administer all forms of respiratory assistance and treatment responsibilities assigned to the Department of Respiratory Therapy.
Function as a resource in all patient care areas and have frequent contact with patients, often critical in nature.
Participate in Code Blue teams, rapid response teams, formulate patient care plans, and perform various invasive procedures.
Manage and administer respiratory medications and therapeutic medical gases.
Recognize interrelationships between vital signs, physiological activity, and pathological changes, analyzing and taking appropriate action.
Observe patient monitoring equipment as it relates to patient pathopsychological activity and respond appropriately.
Utilize independent judgment and actions in many tasks.
