This role functions as a clinical consultant, delivering extensive respiratory care practices throughout the hospital. The position involves providing all aspects of invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, monitoring and managing patients with artificial airways, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in Critical Care, Women & Children’s & NICU Unit, Emergency/Trauma, and general care areas. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure, along with exceptional critical thinking skills and independent work habits. A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is offered for this full-time, day shift position.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a CoARC approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • CRT credential with requirement to acquire RRT credential within 6 months.
  • Basic computer skills, Assessment, Diagnostic and Therapeutic skills, Arterial Puncture, Mechanical Ventilation, Critical Thinking Skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • NH RCP License, RRT credential or CRT credential with credentialing to RRT within 6 months required, AHA BLS, NRP within 90 days.
  • Age specific criteria.
  • Training in at least two age populations.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 years of acute care hospital clinical and diagnostic experience.
  • Bachelors degree from an advanced level education program.
  • Training experience in multiple age populations.
  • Advanced assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic skills and ventilator management skills with all age populations, intubation skills.
  • ACLS, PALS
