About The Position

This is a full-time, night shift position for a Respiratory Therapist. A sign-on bonus is available. The role involves providing direct patient care and respiratory care procedures throughout the facility, adhering to all policies and procedures. The therapist will organize their workload to ensure timely completion of prescribed therapies, participate in educational activities and departmental meetings, and maintain accurate documentation. Responsibilities also include responding promptly to emergency alerts, utilizing sound clinical judgment and assessment skills for patient care and monitoring, and communicating effectively with other caregivers. Evaluating patient care and making recommendations are also key aspects of the role. All other assigned duties are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

Associate's degree
Zero to less than 1 year of experience in Respiratory Care with an Associate of Resp. Care from an accredited CoARC institution
Participation in the National Board for Respiratory Care's (NBRC) Continuing Competency Program to maintain credential if received credential after July 1, 2002
Registered Respiratory Therapist or new graduate. New graduates have 3 months to obtain RRT after hire and/or graduation date.
ACLS certification Must be completed within 3 months of hire or transfer date
PALS certification Must be completed within 6 months of hire or transfer date

Responsibilities

Performs direct patient care and the provision of Respiratory Care procedures in all areas within the facility.
Performs all procedures according to policy & procedure.
Organizes workload to ensure therapy is completed as prescribed.
Participates in all aspects of RC educational activities & departmental meetings.
Documents & maintains records, charts, and reports in a timely manner & documents appropriately.
Responds to all emergency alerts in a timely manner & documents appropriately.
Exercises sound clinical judgement & assessment skills to provide appropriate provision of patient care & monitoring & communication of information to other caregivers.
Evaluates patient care & makes recommendations when needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned
