Requirements
- Successful completion of a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) approved Respiratory Therapy program.
- National Board for Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must be maintained throughout duration of employment.
- Florida Respiratory license prior to their first day of employment.
- Maintain Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or the equivalent as determined by the site of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and requirements.
- Understanding of computers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with risks associated with exposure to infectious patients, needle puncture hazards, and hazards related to compressed gases.
