About The Position

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The therapist participates in educating patients, students, staff, and physicians; provides technical support for equipment related to respiratory care; and assists with general department functions.

The Respiratory Care Department serves patients of all ages. Its team collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals, using advanced diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, patient education, current technology, and evidence-based practices to manage respiratory conditions.

This is a part-time position at Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital, scheduled for 24 hours per week. Hours are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on variable days, including every other weekend. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified external hires.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• State of Michigan Respiratory Therapist license, required upon hire.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required upon hire.
